i would be scared to buy something like that from ebay. i hear too much about the "supercharger" and the performance chip scams.

I emailed the guy just to ask what the deal or catch was & this was his reply.
"Yes this is true! The stage 3 4L60E with a modified 10 vane pump that has seal blowout protection and full time lube, A 9 clutch 3-4 a machined reverse input drum to accept the 2.50 wide kevlar band which is backed by a corvette servo and a fairbanks super servo to provide 50% greater holding ability in 2nd and 4th! The beast sunshell has been added to withstand the very aggressive shifts that this unit produces! Along with over 15 years of tricks to make it a true high performance tranny! As for the low price i am not trying to get rich just a family man trying to make a living! My shop is at my house with no overhead and no expensive advertising! The only thing you pay for here is the tranny ! As for the 99 Z28 does your car have the LS1? If so i also have the LS1 version available at 1125.00 with the same warranty and the same parts! Just let me know if i acn supply your needs?"

Its starting to sound convincing! Im in desperate need of a built trany.

I would ask for a list specific upgrade parts and their manufacturer. That's a good price shipped w/o a core, but I tend to think buying your tranny local is better because if you need warranty work the shipping time and $$ will kill you.

I emialed him while ago asking for a specific list of parts. I havent checked my email yet though. I post his reply when I get it.

Here is his response on the list of parts;

"The clutches are alto kevlar high temp linings, It obtains a G.M corvette
servo, The superior fairbanks super servo,the beast sunshell offered by
filtrain (sonax) and the shift kit is tailored by myself ! The reverse input
drum is machined here by myself on my lay machine to generate a true
circumfance and balance along with a sonax kevlar 2.50 wide band that has
the reinforced pin plate to prevent tear through! All bushings and thrust
washers are replaced ! This is all the parts and there brand that are put
into this tranny ! I would like to add that you are not only getting a real
good deal but a outstanding trans as well! Thanks Aaron!"

he had to ask about the car being a LS1, to me he doesnt know enough about what he's dealing with. I'd take that grand and put it in another tranny
