Waste of money. Many many 700+ RWHP and 8 and 9 (and soon to be 7) second stock blocked cars without this girdle.

I dont think that this is worth it, alot of cars are runnig without them. It all depends what your goals are, W2W is using them on their 1200+rwhp cars.

Mustang guys have been running these for years, because it helps the block strength, but again they are only 2 bolt mains, if your going all out ***** to the walls might as well get it

If you go to his site, at the bottom of the add it says call for price of custom ARP main studs, So I guess if you buy this, then you have to buy a set of custom ARP studs to make it work

Cant I do the same thing with some washers from home depot? Forgive me for not seeing how a thin plate of .25 steel (i assume its not aluminum) is going to further strengthen those already beefy six bolt main bearing caps.

Not a bad idea for aluminum blocks but then again you'd need to see some serious HP to actually require it.
More peace of mind if you can afford it....

I like the idea of it and have considered it on my sbc and some big block projects. But that girdle really isn't quite thick enough for my likings, now 3/8's or 1/2 inch would be IN like FLYNN.
