I'm running a set of perreli's right now with my supercharged nothing stock 355ci somewhere around 400+rwhp. I cannot give her more than half throttle in first without my rear breaking loose, and it will roast trough second (a4) what kind of street tires should I be looking at for excelent traction and maybe a few trips to the track a year?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

As long as you're never going to drive the car in snow get the GS-D3's. Best wet traction on the market and dry traction is on par with a DR. I used to be able to just blip the throttle in 1st or 2nd and spin the tires. Not anymore except when it's really cold outside.

GS-D3s are a good all around tire, but do not compare at all to a true drag radial. I had 315 Eagle F1s on my car before I got my 315 Nitto 555Rs. Granted they were the older style, but I'm not sure if anything but the name changed with the Eagles. I could burn them off anytime in 1st or second, the Nittos hook a HELL of a lot harder now!

Ok, how did you not mean to say that offensively? I couldn't be more wrong? Which part, when I said "I'm not sure if anything but the named changed with the Eagles"? Yeah I'm pretty sure that a 315 Nitto 555R has the upper hand in straight line acceleration over a 315 GS-D3.
I'm gonna use this quote right here:

Exactly. Now honestly, I think you were more wrong in your little attack on my open opinion than I was in stating it. Thanks.

I wasn't attacking you. You'd know if I was. I was only pointing out that your assumption was wrong and you were comparing a totally different tire. As for the "like a slick" talk. Have you seen one of these tires. People are talking about the tread pattern and ground contact not the compound. The tread compound is fairly soft. The only reason the tread rating is even 270 is because the grooves are so deep. I agree it's not as soft as a true DR but softer than your normal tire. It's a completely different tire than the stock F1. Hell I've even hit the bump stop on my right rear on a 1/2 shift while on the street and I don't need shocks. All I'm saying is your assumption is wrong and the GS-D3 is a great tire. It's not a DR but close.
