Question Best Computer chip(Programmer) for 99 Vette...

Need advice on a program/tuner for a 99 vette . Have Cold Air Intake and Borla exhaust. Does a Diablo Predator have good tunes. SCT ( Superchips)?

Did a search, What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

your at the limit of the modifications that a superchips inc tuner will support (gears, tiresize, intake and exhaust modification) so i would not choose that choice.

SCT does not support GM at the present time.

The predator is limited without custom tunes for it, and those are hard to get.

I would not even consider the hpp3 or jet chips

So is there something out there to use?? The Predator custom tunes are hard to get? Who has them, Diablo? A Tuner shop(s)? Which Tuner shops,??? Names & Numbers??

Thanks

If you have a basic understanding of EFI i'd buy HP Tuners and tune it yourself. It will only cost about $100 more than a handheld unit and you'll have complete control over your pcm functions.

Even if you don't have any efi experience, get FlashScan or HPTuners software, and find someone to help you. You'll be much better off in the long run. However, with the modifications you list, you shouldn't NEED tuning. If the car isn't running right, there's a problem somewhere.

Talking

Thanks for the help, re-registered under a user name I use on other boards.

A friend of mine owns the 99 Vette, I was trying to help him out. I know about Diablo, SCT, Superchips stuff for Fords. I own a 01 Ford Lightning with a built motor, Heads, Cams, Direct Port Nitrous, it runs pretty good for and ole heavy truck.

I have several friends who uses FAST software to tune their race cars.

I guess it's more complicated to tune GM vehicles.

Its not really complicated to tune. mail order tunes are unpopular because its a generic file, not whats best for your car.
