I tried that 2 years ago and your are correct that if you use the right LED's the look is much better than it will photograph. Mine had a nice even but bright blue glow w/o the usual light and dark spots that you get from traditional LED's.

But to be honest after 2 years of straining my eyes to see my gauges I recently took them out of the car an installed the stock bulbs back in the gauges. Now I can see the red needles much better that I ever did with the blue leds. But as they say YMMV

BTW I used the LED's from Ryan Macewen that I bought with my white gauges back when he was selling direct. They are a 4 LED per socket "bulb" that just twists right in to replace the stockers. Are these like the ones you are using?

Here is a pic of them.......

You can take the orange off the back of your gauges but you would be better off just buying a camaro cluster.

I'll take some, but what's the install process like and do I have to worry about messing up the alignment of the needles?

If you have a camaro then no they just slide in where the old lights come out. I'm still waiting for another order so I won't have another set for about a week or so until I get some more parts. I can go ahead and take your order and put you in line though, PM me.

I thought there were multiple bulbs back there. Which bulb are you using?
