Default G5X3 Results inside.

G5x3 Results Inside.
Well I'm going to drop by LG next week to see what LG thinks.

I'll let the #'s speak for themselves.

Before:

228/228 588/588 114+4

376 HP / 367TQ
I dont remember what timing was set at.

After:
Only performance mods added were G5x3 and ASP UD Pulley.

2??/2?? Duration & 600/610 Lift at 114+4

385 HP / 360 TQ

26 degrees timing for N20

I know #'s arent everything but I am a little disappointed. Tomorrow I'll fill the bottle up and see what she'll do.

The rest of my setup is in the sig.

Acutally going from the 10-bolt to the 12, i only lost 5 RWHP, but i did lose 25 ft/lbs of TQ.

I just dont think that going from a 228/228 to the G5x3 would have only picked me up 9 HP and a lose of 6 ft/lbs of TQ.

Also remember I added the ASP UD pulley too!

Let us know how that race turns out....should be in your favor. Anyways, look at it this way, you have more top end and that torque looks really nice. I think it'll prove to be worth it.

Time to do a comprtion test. Do you have cats. What wheels and DS do u have. If u have 18in wheels and a steal drive shaft and a 12bolt with 4.11 you can eat up some power. Maby 20-30hp if not more if you have cats and some heave Drive train parts.

Think about it.

i have 17 in wheels, 3 in steel DS and no cats... but with the 228 i pulled 376, it just doesnt make since to go from 228/228 588/588 to the g5x3 PLUS a asp UD pulley and gain only 10 HP and lose 6 TQ. i am going to do a compression test this week.

The numbers don't sound too bad, honestly... as long as you have some stuff that eats up HP on a dyno. For instance, I dynoed 381 rwhp and 351 rwtq with my TSP 231/237 cam.

Full bolt-ons only I did 336 rwhp, 336 rwtq, which was with an ORY, but dynoing through a 12 bolt with 33 spline Eaton posi and 4.11 gears. So my car dynoed low to begin with...

Also, in addition to adding the cam between dynos for me, I also added a heavy Denny's NR driveshaft, went from 16" wheels to 17" wheels, and added a catted y-pipe... all of which can take away power.

Had I dynoed with my old 16" wheels, the stock aluminum driveshaft, ORY, and a 10 bolt with 3.42s, I wouldn't be surprised at all if I hit 400 rwhp and 375 rwtq. But all those other things I added are for getting down the track, not for big dyno numbers...
