Default Cam package question....

Just spoke w/ texas speed, very happy w/ the info i just got from them in regards to being able to mail them my computer for tuning being i live in CT....First off, i was recommended a 233/239-112 tsp cam. I was originally thinking about the tr 224-112. My only performance mods are QTP lt's off road y and loudmouth. Other than that its a whisper lid and a bunch of suspension, i plan next year to get an LS6 intake, along w/ heads in another year or two. 12 bolt first. i heard a sound clip from ls1sounds.com and the first one on the list from the LM section was a TR224-112 and i like how it sounded, however this is not my daily driver, doesnt see winters, or rain. How much more lumpier is the idel w/ the 233/239-112 compared to the 224 and will it cause any issues w/ my near stock set up? (already have info about replacing springs and rods) Also if we get a straight week of gorgeous weather i will drive it every day for that week. Any opinions on my complete confusion greatly appreciated, the more research i do the more confused i get about what to go w/. Thanks for the help.

NICE!!!...i'm sold..lol, now for the "out of car" computer tuning...has anyone had this done before? I'm a little nervous about shipping my comp. down to Texas, is this fool proof, i keep thinking what if it comes back and isnt the way it should be, or gets damaged during shipping? Anyone from texas speed chime in or pm me, i cant get a chance to call again till the end of the week. Thanks for any info.

hmm i see we made a decision here . That sounds like a badass cam and I'm glad you're deciding to do a bigger cam. TSP helped me out with my decision too, those guys are awesome. I honestly think with a cam that big you will benefit much more from ls1edit (espcially if you're going through emissions soon). You might want to wait and save until you have enough money for both the tune and cam. Plus the tune money isnt money wasted, its good for the future and you will only have to pay for dyno time if you want it. Don prices his tune reasonable and call him and tell him about your situation maybe he will a break? anyway good luck hun and i hope you're feeling better after this week

thanx on the clip comments.

its gonna be a dog w/stock gears.
sorry to kill it 4 ya.

it really hates anything under 1500rpm.

and stock gears keep ya there for a while.

i have 373 and wil get 411 when i go 12 bolt.

it will hate red lights, startup, backing up and hills in
a stock geared car.

heads i am not sure about
