Default Gmmg

Thinking of buying the GMMG exhaust and my question is right now I have just a flowmaster crossflow muffler(not catback) on the car, how much louder or quieter would the GMMG be compared to the flowmaster? Will there be more drone/rasp than the flows? And how much power do you think I will gain over the flowmaster? thanks

nobody knows? Somebody has had to have heard them both. I checked out LS1sounds, and it sounded like the GMMG might be a little louder. But I rather have the opinion of people who have heard it in person than go off of a video.

GMMG will be louder. I've run Flowmaster, Dynomax and now GMMG w/o cats. Hands down, more noise. If you're using an ORP, there will be some rasp around 2200. It's to be expected with any non dual exhaust setup and an ORP. Depending on how good your system flows now, you may not gain much. I didn't gain any over my Dynomax muffler but boy does it sound good!!

GMMG is a 100x better then the blowmaster. GMMG will be a little louder, little more drone, and a hell of a better sound! GMMG all the way!!!

I've always liked Flowmasters tone at idle and on acceleration on stockish cars...But to answer your question, I've heard Flowmaster many times on LT1's & LS1's and currently have the GMMG on both motors.

They're both kinda quiet at idle, sound similar down low, but the GMMG is a lot louder and has a MUCH better tone when you get on the car! GMMG @ WOT has a super deep, yet clean/refined sound. And with headers + highflow cats, it =

And going from a Flowmaster muffler only to the full 3" GMMG cat-back, expect to gain around 10-12rwhp on your car...

GREAT choice in exhaust BTW,

Mike

I went from some kind of Flowmaster knock-off that was on the car when I bought it to a GMMG and was extremely pleased. I could feel the difference in torque. Quiet at idle and cruise, but deeper; louder with more throttle - awesome at WOT. It's noticeably louder - and I was thinking too loud - with the increased revs of my new TC, but I've adjusted. All around great sound, but you are going to have to turn up your sound system.

I think I am just going to go ahead and get the gmmg and if it does sound to loud to me when I get my kook or qtps then I will just through a bullet in the I pipe and see what happens.

Another question: My TA is black do you think it will look good if I polish the gmmg before it is installed.

GMMG all the way. You'll actually find yourself turning the radio off or at least down to listen to it. I know I do at least.
