Default i have mods what tranny do i need to get?

i have the mods in the sig being put in on may 9th. i know im gunna need a new tranny for this thing. so i might as well do it when everything else is being put in.

the thing is, im not a big drag racer, or street racer. i just like the fast cars to say i have it i guess, but i just want to clarify how i will be driving the car if it makes any differece, so pretty much like a bitch if u want to say.

i prolly will take it to the track 2 or 3 times and do the occasional sissy stop light race or whatever but nothing serious. just fun. let me know what i need to get

built 4l60e or kit
700R4 (which one?)
th350 i know nothing about it
th400 know nothing about it

and if all i need is a kit let me know so i can save money possibly. also what kind of convertor and anything else will i need?

im guessing around 480hp-525hp or so.... what u think

please please please help.....

thansk a lot

not going to be a daily driver.

i am not running nitrous. turbo/super charging is totally different then nitrous.

i talked to pro buitl and he said that all i will need is the trans go shift kit with vaccuum modulator and bypass and a torque convertor. he is also including upgrade instructions for it.

we will see. anyone else have anything to say please do b/c i have not purchased anything yet.

thanks

agreed- shift kit, COOLER (most important) and you'll be fine if you don't race it alot. vaccum modulated could be substituted for some tuning but whichever would help the clutches last a little longer.

if you are not drag racing it you want OD.

a shift kit on a 4l60e just puts a lot of pressure on lines... really doesnt help performance....

if you have high horsepower you will eventually swap to a 4l80, th350 or 400.

but that's if your hard on it...
anyways with whatever you do goodluck!

if you put some good stuff in the 4l60e i have heard of them lasting a while...
are you going to have slicks or DR's on?

but yeah if its just a weekend toy I think you'd be ok as long as you dont drop the hammer with Dr's alot
but who can resist

i think youll be ok.

You're at the limit of a properly built 4L60e. For just a cruiser, I would do that unless you are looking for a manual shift situation. Depending on the number of WOT downshifts, you may need to replace clutch packs every year or two.
