i'd put my money on the ws6, especially if you're going from a stop with the nittos, but it would still be a race

dig? you'll kick his ***. 355's aren't all they are cracked up to be. a 360 would be a damn good race, but you shouldn't have a hard time with a 355 if u catch traction.

If the Ferrari has a good driver I's say he'll win from a roll or a dig. I do believe they have 375 horses but not much torque (hey, it's a Ferrari) and I guess they're lighter.

The WS-6 would take it. You would run into problems with a 360 Modena Stradale (Ferrari challenge car) though.

I raced a ferrari 355 SPIDER in my 95 Z28 M6 (cat-back and intake) a few years ago. I have a 00 WS6 (cam, stall, headers) now.

I had some brand new Dulop SP9000 tires on the Camaro that were hooking up pretty well and I raced that car enough to know how to get some pretty good digs out of it. That Ferrari walked away from me easy everytime. He didn't even spin his wheels, it was all acceleration and a sweet sounding engine. I would guess by 60 mph he pulled an easy 2+ cars and just let off. We did this about 3 times.

At least it was a Ferrari with a great driver and not some ****** sucker in a turbo civic.

I ran across a 360 on the highway awhile ago. He didn't want to play, so I got bored and did a 3rd (T-56) gear pull next to him. I had to exit the highway after a few miles and as he passed he gave me a thumbs up. Aparently he was at least modestly impressed with my car.

According to Supercars.net a 355 Spyder is SUPPOSED to run a 12.9 standing quarter mile, so that sounds like a really close race to me.

They are pretty quick, trapping 110mph stock. Their motors need to be wound out so don't race him from a high roll. Your best bet is a slow 25mph roll with hot nitto's. If you can hook at that speed your torque is gonna get you an easy car lead to work with.

You need to race him from a dig, trust me. If it was a 1/4 mile race, I'd say driver's race: you'd get him through the 1/8th, but he'd be catchin' up, if not pass you through the traps. But from a roll from nearly any speed, as long as he's in the right gear with the revs up, he'll pull away, and pully away harder the longer you run them.

These cars are made for high speeds (speeds exceding our top speeds), so race wisely.
