I shift at 6200 in 1st to 2nd and at 6000 from 2nd to 3rd. My rev limit is at 6500. I just dynoed it and I see the peak to but the 1/4 tells me something different. I run my best times shifting where I'm at. With the a4 peak hp isn't all you take into account. The way our trannys are if you shift below 5900-6000 it would slow me down.

I set them with a hypertech 3 up until last Thursday when I had it tuned. We pulled the hypertech out and flashed the pcm with my shift ponits. We drove it acouple times to get it where I wanted it. The hp3 is the easy way to do it.
My hypertech settings with 3.23 gears are +3 +2 +1 with 50% shift firmness and 6500 rev limit. If you haven't changed anything with the hypertech just make sure shifting around 6000-6200 by plusing or minusing the shift ponits. Then taking the rev limit up till you don't hit it. You should able to make it work without hitting the limit. I'm sure you know most of this stuff but I figured I would just write it all out.

ok..... yeah i got the hypertech also ive got most of what it does installed except the points cause i didint realy know what that setting was for and i noticed that after i installed my gears it starting doing that and even when im just driving it feels weird so i guess you think the best thing to do is wait till i install the new cam or should i go ahead and set them now???

I would set it up now, then get it tuned after the cam. Hitting the rev limit isn't all that good for your motor. Its easy to do just minus your shifts ponits -2 and go try it. Rise the rev limit if you haven't already to 6500. That may cure it be just doing that.
