https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/327734-cam-guide.html

Make sure you've read that, and SEARCH.

At least go into the low-mid 230's. (F13, F14, torquer, 233/239, etc etc) Install can be done yourself, shop will likely charge $350-$600. Ditch the SLP MAF. You'll need the cam, springs, retainers, pushrods, new oil pump and maybe a new timing chain.

I'd grab some long tubes and some gears and mabey even a pulley before you decide on a cam.....

a medium cam with stock gears =
get atleast some 3.73's... id go for 4.30's

then grab one of the futral or thunder medium cams.... my 230/236 with full bolt-ons lopes hard and pulls like a mother up top.... my 255/50 16 MT DR's get spun all the way down a well prepped 8th...

have fun

I'm really non observant today. You do plan to support it with headers and an LS6 intake manifold first, correct? If not, remember that headers/stall > cam. You need to have the supporting mods.
