Default !EGR Plug

I searched for the 1 3/8" rubber freeze plug today at my work and found it. It should seal up the hole in the intake for the EGR port quite well from what I have been told. Just wanted to let you guys know that the part number is 02601 at any Autozone.

This is the plug I got.

Rubber one...slam it in and tighten the nut.

Worked like a charm.

A parts store called National Auto Parts.

I'm sure you could get it at any decent parts place.

That is the EXACT same plug that I bought from Autozone. I just listed the part number for it at Autozone because that's where I work. Just trying to help some people out for future reference.

Just to let you all know, GM makes a plug....it's used on the trucks.....it's metal, has a rubber seal, and screws on...I have it, but don't remember the P#...but it's on the '99 Silverado parts diagram.

autozone no longer sells this type of plug, only in a package for $9. I assume the nut on top is for tightening it and it expands a rubber piece to seal the plug off, hence the name expansion plug?

I hope pepboys still sells it.
