Stock Rocker HELP!
I just got some used stock rockers in the mail that I'd ordered from someone on the forum. I noticed that the rockers are stamped A2, E2, I5, K4, F7, H5, G6...etc. There are a few with duplicte stamping. Is this right? Are these a set? This is the first set of stockers I've had lying in front of me, just can't make any sense of the stamps, there is no rhyme or reason (order) to them. Please let me know what you think.

Click on the link and look at the first set of pics comparing the YT rockers and stockers. If the rocker you have look like the smaller ones, then they are indeed stock rockers. It doesn't really matter in what order you put them in so I don't know about them being stamped. Like Redneck Z said, just throw them in!

I just took my stock rockers off last week and noticed the same thing. I don't believe they go in any particular order, but just do a bit more research before you throw them in. Maybe call a dealership or local shop that knows LS1s. Best guess is as vettenuts said, different casting batches, same rocker.

Just talked to Sean (a.k.a valvegod) at SMC. I was ordering some valve covers..... So I asked the guru about the rockers, he said that it is completely normal. They're always like that... dunno why??? Oh well.. good enough for me.

the numbers and letters signify which which mold was used to cast them. they use this to keep track of any that may have a fault to see if it is a common mold problem or an over all problem. has nothing to do with the order that they go in. basically the same thing as the clock that you see stamped on alot of things.
P.S. i suck at english today
