which should i do first??
ok i am set on these two setups and i dont know which to do first, should i go with coated pacesetter long tube headers and TSP offroad Y. or should i do the Fuddle racing 3500 stall and 3.73 gears first, help me make my decision and comments on the choices. i am getting a cutout installed right before the muffler so the flowmaster will just be for looks mainly lol.

My son just installed 4:10's on his 00 T/A and it is friggin awesome - my next mod will definitely be 4:10 gears with a girdle.......I would suggest you not spend your time/money on 3:73's unless you really care about 130mph+......... And yeah, go with the convo+gears. Changing how your auto shifts makes a huge diff in driver satisfaction/response time to WOT and several other factors that can only be felt by seat-of-the-pants method. I used to own a 99 Lighting, and the best mod I made on that truck was a 60buck valve replacement piece that went into the tranny and changed the shift points - 1st to 2nd would hit like a ton of bricks and I could get a pretty serious chirp 2nd to 3rd after that mod. It added no HP, but made a huge difference in how I felt about the truck off the line. Good luck w/mods - stevet

Go with the converter first.
If you already have 3.23 gears then don't waste your time on doing 3.73's. Take that money and put it somewhere else.
Be sure to get a good tranny cooler.

According to your sig you already have both.
For a purely performance gain get the converter. Converter, shift kit, trans cooler, trans temp gauge, some basic PCM editing of shift points, subframe connectors and drag radials. Will be a night and day difference.
The gears are not nearly as important as the converter, so if you can't get the gears yet don't sweat it as they won't net more than anyway 0.15.
I did my headers/duals before converter cause I was all about the awsome sound, but the converter is a much bigger SOTP difference.
PS: Where in Indiana are you located?
