That happens alot with bigger stalls. It happened to me!!
Your tranny went into Limp Home mode. Turn off the engine for a minute, then turn it back on.
I never did get mine corrected completely, but when I went back to a stock TC, the problem went away.

Don't pull the verter just yet. Have you had the computer tuned since the install. Mine is having the same problems but I have talked to John @ Fuddle and Carolina Auto Masters and they both believe it's in the tune. My car also shoots fire out of the exhaust at WOT. LOL

Don't use OD unless you are at freeway cruising speeds ( >3000 rpm in Drive). If you can remember to change your driving habits to maintain this rule, you should not have a problem with it anymore. Good luck!

I'm not a tuner so I'm not sure how easy it would be to have entered something wrong and if it is even possible. I always leave mine in OD and it does kick in and out at 35 mph but not at 40. I need to get this thing tuned bad

I'd start by replacing the solenoid. They're inexpenive and very easy to change. They do have a fairly high failure rate, so it's entirely believable. It could also be the pressure range switch, but that usually sets a P1810 code also.

Here is a link I found that sells the parts:

http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/me...-4L65Esolenoid

Solenoid #74421 $13.09
Manifold Pressure / Range switch: #74442 $37.47

You can probably find them at a local transmission wholesaler for close to the same price. I'd definatly go that route before going nuts pulling or building a trans. Both of those are semi frequent failure components and they're dead easy to change once the pan is off. One clip and 5 bolts. Make sure you re-install the pressure range switch with a tq wrench, 89 in/lbs

No guarontee that will fix it but $50 is much cheaper than $1,500+!
