Baldwin Motion Camaro I was driving my 2000 WS6 to pick my wife up at work. It was 11:00pm and the loop had very little traffic. I look behind and see some headlights creeping slowly up on my left side and car was absolutely deafening. Light turns red ahead so I ask this guy what kind of camaro he has. He says a Baldwin Motion with 454 CID and its 71 year model. He has had it for 25yrs. and 3rd owner. I ask if it is stock since i hear the engine caming and his rpms at idle are pretty high. Yes its completly stock from Baldwin. Light turns green and I want to see what this car will do so I launch and spin slightly in 1st and look in my mirror and his car is taking off normal. I hit second and back tires break loose so I let off for them to stop spinning. He hits the gas and his car rattles my rear window and he comes blowing by me like I was chained to a tree. Wow that car was fast sure was the loudest car on the road I had ever heard. The car was blue with a white stripe down the side that came to a point. My car is stock but it would have taken a lot of mods to beat him. I have never seen one of these cars must be ultra rare.

Well from what I've read Baldwin sweared he'd make 'em run in the 11's and they did.
Those are NOT one of the overated "before all access. HP rating" cars. Those things would lay it down, plain and simple.

Baldwin Motion was the baddest in the day. With slicks those things would run bottom 11's. I use to have a book on supercars and they had various Baldwin Motion cars in it. The 70 vette with the baldwin Motion package dynoed upwards of 550hp with open headers. They are nasty!
I only wish i was in the passenger seat with ya.

Awesome Camaro! They are badass but the same drivetrain in the Baldwin-Motion Super Vega would stomp all comers! 454, th400 and super light weight all in the same package, simply badass.
