will a 3200 stall converter for a 93 work in my 98? or did they have diff tranys?

just found out this guy has a LS1 in it with the 4l60e tranny, so it should work, rite?

one more thing, it has 20k miles on it. its a 3200 super streetfighter. he is sellin it for cheap would this be a good idea? whats the most you would pay?

if you do I would at least get it rebuilt first to be on the safe side..

Don't quote me on this but I do not think it will work. The end of the converter (I can't remember what you call it. :bang: ) that meshes to the back of the crank is different. I could be wrong on this.

If your saying the guy has a Ls1 with the 4l60e in his 93, well then yes it should work, But 93 f-body's had the 700R4's didn't they, The Torque converter isn't the same as the Lt1's 4l60e Either

the guy told me it has the ls1 with 4l60e. he said something asbout it being a 10" maybe? where could i get to rebuild it? or would it really need it?

The crank on the ls1 is .400 shallower than the lt1 and the diffrence is made up w/ flywheel and converter. I had issues w/ the ls1 set up in my 75 camaro. One way to see if the part will swap is call a parts store and ask for a price on a converter for a (what was it??)93\94 4l60e and get the part #. then call them back and ask for price and part # for 98 model. See if the # match. good luck...
