Default 6.0 heads

Hey guys what are people doing to 6.0 heads before they put them on? Are you guys changing anything on them before installing? I plan to run these on my iron block aswell. For now though on my 5.7 thanks guys

Well what are your goals? Do you just want to do a 'budget thin' or are you wanting a more lasting idea?

If you are just using a stock block, and want heads for a lil lower compression, then yeah, just throw some springs on them.

If you are building a motor there is no reason to get cheap now, ports them springs,a nd possibly larger exhaust valves.

all in what you want to do

i sent mine to HPE to get ported,new valves,seals, double valve springs,ti retainers.pretty much everthing needed for a full build.

I would kinda like to go cheap now as these will be on my stock 5.7 for now then a iron block not sure yet though. I dont want to do to much to them and lose alot of power on my engine the way it sits now. thanks guys for the help what size exhaust valves should i use and should i leave the intake valves stock?

i just put 918 on mine, other then that they are stock 6.0 heads. after i forge the bottom end ill prob. get them ported. i also put in a ls6 cam for now.

As of now i have my patriot valve springs on my heads will these work on the 6.0 heads? Since everybody says to run 918s
