Question Vortech pulley change

I am thinking about going from the stock pulley on my vortech supercharger 3.12 to a 2.95 and I was wondering what I could expect from this change. I expect that it would be 1-2 lbs of boost but any idea as to the hp/tq increases that it would show. I did a search but I could not find anything that that had a before and after for numbers. Thanks in advance for the help

I'd think 1.5-2.0 psi.

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully I can get one in and tuned before the last drag racing even here. Damn weather in Canada does not allow for a long drag racing season. The cold air should be nice though.

Go with the 2.75. You'll end up there eventually anyway.

Yeah the 2.75 will be a better choice IMO.

You guys with the 2.75" pullies - what is the max rpm you run the blower to? What size crank pullies are you running, 6.66 or 6.0? Also, what's the redline you use on your motors? 6-rib or 8?

Just trying to get a sense of the V-9. I know it has a 65K redline vs. my V-2 S-trim's 50K.

Thanks,

Jim

I am changing to the 2.75 pulley probably next week, i plan on shifting at 6500 even though I'm still making power past that. I use the crank pulley that comes with the kit, for some reason I can't think of the size but i can check on that. 8 rib belts.

Inspector 12, i got a helluva deal on some 50 lber's i cannot wait to redyno this thing. Its probably going in next week or the week after.

Then I seriously gotta work on suspension, tire spin = no fun
