Default How much can a stock TA handle?

Ok,

I broke my Edelbrock Adj. TA a few weeks ago. I put my stock TA back in the car to get it moving/driving again. I really wanna take the car to the track this weekend, but am afraid i'm gonna break the stock TA now. what can i get away with doing at the track? what can i do to make sure i DONT break it!

the car:
99' WS.6 3500lbs
9" locker w/4.22's
26x10x15 hoosier slicks w/ ET Front runners all on prostars
N/A 347Ci 430/400
M6 car.

Thanks guys!

are those auto cars, or manual cars? I think i broke my edelbrock by flashing too much torque at it all at once.

I put on a Edelbrock adj. torque arm over the summer and 10 hours later it twisted into a pretzel and destroyed a high dollar steel shaft on the FIRST pass.I got it home and put the stocker back on and its taken way more abuse then that POS edelbrock could even dream of.

Keep away from the 7500 rpm clutch dumps and it may live to see the next weekend.

I just got done fixing an Edelbrock adj. torque arm that was broken. I had no idea this many people were breaking the Edelbrock torque arms. I hope mine stays together.

It looks like the hiem joint twisted into an "S" and ripped apart first.Aftermarket parts should be an upgrade and not be bested by stock stuff.

I haven't broke my stock TA, yet, but i did break the tailshaft housing where the torque arm mounts to the trans. Combination of a steel driveshaft and trans mounted torque arm, put way too much stree on it and cracked it.
