Default G5X3 install, now code PO300 misfire detected....

Can anyone give me some advice on tuning this out. I have an HPTuners tune in the car but am unfortunately getting code p0300(engine misfire detected...)

I know this is extemely vague, but I'm new to the tunig thing and this tune is from another member with the exact car(year, mods etc..)

The car is an 02' ZO6.

TIA

you need to do a case relearn. you may also need to desensistize (sp) the knock sensors at idle

I would say delete the code &/or desensitize the misfire tables slightly at low rpms. This is pretty normal for large cams...not sure if desensitizing the knock sensors will do anything for you though.

Set the idle and low rpm tables all to 32000.

What are your mods...I'm running the G5X3, LT with cats, Vara-Ram CAI and get no misfire codes...Let me know if you would like me to e-mail you an Excel file with all the important parameters...You could then compare and modify as you see fit...

Also, make sure that all your plug wires are snug and in good shape, one plug wire loose or going bad will through the 0300 code...

Peace...Gman

Mods are as follows:

Vararam
Halltech air bridge
LG LT's(no cats)
GHL Magnum plus catback
160* thermo
G5X3 114

My e-mail is stngetr@comcast.net

I do appreciate the help. I was able to cure the misfire code but if anyone has any tunes that I can compare to that would great....

I e-mailed the .bin file and an Excel file to you...Our mods are very similiar, except for the cat back (I'm still using the stock Ti's) and I have the Hi Flow Cats...

Keep me posted as to how any of the info works for you...

Peace...Gman
