Default TSP motors whos got one

I am going to order a 408 shortly and have down a lot of searches. I have never heard of any problems with tsp motors. I was just wondering who has a motor from them and if they have had any problems. I appreciate any feed back on this subject. Its just hard for me to drop over seven grand for a longblock. In another post I asked about there heads PRC stage 3 6.0 and never found anyone that has them. Please let me know if you do. Thank you

I would not be too woried about any of there motors. They had done a lot of work for me and never a problem. Also Jason and Trevor are honest and will do everything right and are straight forward. Good luck and post up some numbers when you get them.

We have a guy in our club purchased one of their first 408's and he has never had any issues with it at all. Ran a 10.53@135 on a 150 shot over 2 years ago, he has sold it since then.

its gonna be n/a for now but after i get a built rear end and some more stuff im putting my nitrous back on. i went with the mahle motorsports forged pistons. im pretty sure i went with the 4 cc valve reliefs. cant remember off the top of my head. prc 5.3L stage 2.5 heads and ms3. should be a bit faster than my stock motor with exhaust. lol

The only regret I have is their choice of pistons. The new motor didn't make it home.

you really need to stop posting these things in other peoples threads...I think in YOUR thread we already established that you detonated due to a bad tune and broke two sets of pistons from different manufacturers.

The newly installed motor gave up the ghost about 30miles into the trip home under part throttle. Now I'm looking for recommendations on a better brand of piston, and the majority opinion is that I shouldn't even bother sending the broken motor back.

Bill,

I thought we had been over this. I stated that we cannot move forward with your engine until it has been sent back to our facility for inspection. Mahle wants the pistons sent back to them for inspection, and we have to be able to take precise measurements to give Mahle. I have helped you every step of the way, and we will not send replacement parts to a customer because something broke. We must be able to determine what happened, and Mahle is very interested as well. They certainly want to know because it is their pistons! We have built numerous engines using Mahle Motorsports pistons without any problems whatsoever. This is the first problem we have encountered with their pistons. We are running a set of their pistons in our twin turbo C6! We must have the engine here to personally inspect, and I do not see that as unreasonable. I am trying to help you as much as possible, but I cannot just send parts out for free when a customer calls with a problem. We must be able to determine what happened, especially being on a blower application.

If you would like to discuss this further I will be glad to speak with you about it. I would appreciate a fair portrayal in what has happened because your responses imply that the engine was not built correctly, and I guarantee that what has happened is not a build problem on our part. I have kept an open mind as to what has taken place, even though the pictures do indicate detonation. I am making every effort to help you out, so I would appreciate the same courtesy. If you choose to not send the engine back to us there is nothing I can do.

I have a Texas Speed built 395 all stroke motor that I have about 5,ooo miles on now and still running good. Most of the miles are just 1/4 at a time. The car drives good and the motor sounds new. 489 rwhp 470 rwtq not to bad.
This is my 3rd TSP set - up by the way! I just kept getting greedier. from 410 to 450 to 489 hp now.
