Default LS1 perf mods

Looking for whats all out there, and if possible can you convert a LS1 from a 2000 Corvette into an LS6? looking for different internals, cranks, aftermarket heads and so on down the line. I've been through summit and they dont have too much, same story with jegs. Just askin for some websites that I may not know about.

What's all out there, check out ls1speed.com, texas-speed.com, thunderracing.com Those three combined, carry just about every performance part for the ls1. As far as making an ls1 from a corvette into an ls6, yes it's easy. Get an ls6 cam and the ls6 heads (243 casting) It will run you about $1500 brand new in just those two parts. You can find better parts than that. Plus you would need the ls6 exhaust manifolds. If I were you I'd just get some good headers, a nice cam, and you could get heads too. Just with the headers and cam (depending on size) you should make as much as, or more, than the ls6.

Yeah look on the right, long list of sponsors that carry every part you could possibly think of.

I say don't set your sites on just making it an LS6, especially when for the same price you get get some better parts and performance.

exhaust/heads/cam set ups should get you into the 400+ rwhp. do your search and find out what you want. high/mid power curve? loping cam or stealth? street and strip or strip only? daily driver or weekend? just some idea's here to think about.

If you look through all the sponsor's sites and for some reason need more info, just do what I did and go to a search engine. Here's what comes up in Yahoo just by typing in "LS1 Performance Parts": http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=LS1...&cop=&ei=UTF-8

Idealy I'd like it to be street and strip, drive it only on nice days/weekends in summer. Show car sorta that is driveable, looking into doing a twin turbo set up. But thanks for all the help, gotta set aside a few days to research parts and stuff.
