Anyone ever use 5.3l truck manifolds?

Anyone ever use 5.3l truck manifolds? Considering doing a turbo build up but dont like the price of the turbo headers. Just wondering if anyone has ever used a pair of 5.3L truck manifolds upside down and backwards. or would this put to much heat too close to the hood?

The 5.3 manifolds are the same as the 6.0 manifolds. They share the same part numbers, at least the 2004-2005 ones are.
I got a set of 2005 5.3 manifolds, and they are beefy, and you can tell that they would flow EXTREMELY well for a manifold.
The white Stenod car runs 5.3 manifiolds and runs 8.80s FYI.
