OBD1 LT1 - Need Help
I know this is a LS1 site and whatnot, but LT1tech doesn't seem to get much traffic and I need to get this resolved ASAP...
My car (1994 Camaro Z28 M6) has begun throwing a SES light once the car has warmed up. I tried to have it scanned at autozone, but apparently they only do OBD2. I know the dealer is gonna rape me and I'm poor, so how do I go about scanning it myself? I work at a shop and have access to anything I would need, I just don't know what to do. This is my first car without a warrenty, so I'm a bit of a noob as far as this stuff goes. Any help would be appreciated

you can ground the 2 pins on the dlc that are at the top right when you look at it. only if its a true obd1. turn the key on while doing this. if you have electric fans they normally turn on. you have to count the flashes of the ses light. its gunna flash 12 3 times and then whatever code you have 3 times and then 12 again. example. if your code is a 21 it will go like this when you ground it................flash........flash..flash thats 12, again it will do that 3 times. 21 is ...........flash..flash........flash, 3 times. just report back here with your codes. o and try and find a paperclip for this it works best
