Default Some STS graphs and a 2bar tune on a 98?!?!?!

Just throwing out a little taste of whats going on over at Synergy and what these STS kits can do.

Below you will find 2 graphs. The comparo is between a bone stock 02 TA at 9psi with FMIC and meth and a 98 Camaro with Syngery 370ci motor on 9psi FMIC, no meth with a custom Synergy 2bar tune Yes 2 bar on a 98. Now the 98 is not fully done, this was their first pass at it. Both cars have the GT67 turbo. The TA is done for now, the Camaro will see alot more boost once the alky is flowing.

So like any turbo setup, it's all in the combo. As you will see these buggers can spool up just fine and make some nice power as well all already know.

And 98 folks, if your interested in a custom 2bar tune give Rick a call!

Also please note even though the graph is labled flywheel this is power at the axle. The dynapak gives the option to convert to flywheel if you wish. I guess Rick should just learn to rename that graph

Enjoy!

Synergy 370 vs Stock 346

Boost comparo

Hmmm, that 370 sounds a little familiar!! I'm gonna do a 2 bar tune as well, and I'm planning on 14-15 psi from my GT76...I can't wait. Were you involved in the tuning at all?

they are planning on taking the 67 as far as it will go, I forsee a bigger turbo in this guys future though to make the most of the 370.

the tuning is all Rick. a few years ago I could show him a trick or two but now he is the man when it comes to tuning.

he is constantly educating himself and that dynapak is just too f'n sweet to help dial in a car.

Well, it's good to know about that Dynapak, a local shop just got one. I really have to start reading about this 2 bar tuning stuff. I didn't even get a chance to do a SD tune on the stock motor...now I have to do it on a 2 bar setup!

Anyway, those are some pretty good numbers to say the least. How much boost are they going to push? What's the combo on the 370 (heads, compression, etc)?

NYSS - I know they plan on maxing out the turbo.
I believe it's a 9:1 motor.
All the heads/cam/etc... specs, that I don't know. I didn't ask.
I know the owner thinks he wants to shoot for 700, so I know a turbo upgrade will be in his future if that holds.

The cam is only an LS6 cam. I am finding I dont like the LS6 cam too much for the turbo. A Charger is nice, but not on the turbo. If I ever want to realy push this setup hard, I will go to our custom turbo cam we have. Right now its about 9psi with a few fueling issues, but those will get fixed, then back to making more power. Hopefully I will get a chance to turn on the alky as well. The motor is a 370 long rod. (6.3 Rod versus 6.125) Stock stroke and 4.030 bore. Heads are patriot heads. The motor is actually simple with a few tricks here and there.

the tuning is done is 2 bar off a stock 98PCM. Yes, it can be done and it works well. I am helping frcefed98 with his also.
