2-3 shift

2-3 shift
so getting on the highway last night, at about 40mph drop it from 3rd to second, flash the converter and the tires smoke up and the car goes good, click it back into third and it bounces off the limiter for like 2-3 seconds even after i take my foot out of it. The only thing changed recently was a fluid change, never had this problem before. Checked fluid level when i got home and it looked good, fluid was good, if anything it might be a little low. I dont know whats up with it. Tried stalling it up on my street to like 1500 and going and there was no slippage at all, tires went up in a blaze of glory Any ideas

i really really really dont want a 400 lol I know the transbrake and manual valve body will be cool as hell, but after being in spauldings truck on the highway i want no part of it not all the time atleast. I'm diggin the overdrive. Might have to take the car out tonight and do some testing to see if the tranny is holding up

the car itself was warm, the tranny was still a tad cold. Took the car out tonight, and i guess im just not use to the converter in the cold (i.e no traction) Traction at anything less than 40 just isnt there, i keep forgetting i didnt get the converter in till this spring.

i've never had a problem manually shifting before, just to have some fun on the street. I'd throw a shift kit in, but after heads/cam this winter i dont think the tranny will last to much longer anyways. The car seems ok, we wont find out till the track next year, its almost hibernation time anyways.
