Default h/c package without headers???

So something on my car broke, and it made sense that while they were fixing it, that they just put on a new h/c package, it was more money than I wanted to spend, but they gave me a freaking awesome deal.... however, I don't have the funds to put the headers on till like january.... how bad is it that I will be on the stock manifolds??? I do have an ls6 intake... I'm getting the cartek 2x h/c package. however, I did do the oil pump, and timing chain, and hardened pushrods

you will just see some more power after you put the LT's or mid-lengths on. Is it a split pattern cam with a bigger exh duration? Just think of it as an added bonus!

dependson the cam size, but i highly doubt you will see 400 with stock manifolds. its possible but they will hold you back, way back. only thing it will hurt is power though so its ok to run like that.

i wouldnt put afr and patriot in the same playing field, at all.

without headers you may have a hard time hitting 390 IMO

ive popped 380 on stock manifolds with only a cam.
i think the 01-02 style flow a lil better.
long tubes SHOULD help you, as they scavange much better.

If money is that tight, don't worry about numbers now. You'll need a retune when you put the headers on.

yeah, I'm thinking i'm probably gonna need a new clutch soon anyways due to the power increase, so in like 2 months, when I do the clutch I'll do headers too

Thats a pretty big claim to make that your stage 2 heads are better than afr 205's... Anyway, you may find the car difficult to tune and it will definatly be down on power till you get the long tubes. Other than that, why not do it now while youre in there!

Have them install a Thunder CHEATR cam. Works great on stock manifolds.

Thunder Racing Custom "CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

I put down 370 rwhp, 348 tq. with my cam through stock exhaust manifolds, stock TB, stock U/D pulley. That's with a 3300 stall torque conveter in my A4 tranny.

Went 405 rwhp, 395 tq when I put on my PaceSetter headers, ported TB and ASP pulley, and moved up to a 4000 stall.

I dyno tuned a car this past weekend that went 366 rwhp with stock manifolds, only mods were a 232/234 cam and a airlid.
