I would probably vote Procharger...If you'll look at the faster SC guys they are usually procharged and you can pretty easily upgrade them....The twin intercoolers are cool too and you can run a front mount pretty easy if you don't like those...

I second that. I can change my spark plugs without removing all duct work and aftercooler. Self contained oil supply.

As said above, do a search you'll find alot on the topic.

ATI seems to be more popular with the gm crowd. why ???? doesnt really matter. and the vortech is really popular with the with the mustang guys.

they will both accomplish the same thing!!!!! i am getting a vortech for my gto, its a very nice kit.

and as the guy above said " If you'll look at the faster SC guys they are usually procharged and you can pretty easily upgrade them"

that is because 95% of the people have ati compared to Vortech.

the ati, has the self containd oil system. cool but you have to change the oil in that to. with the vortech you dont have to. since it runs off the engine oil. and when you get a oil change, it changes the oil that gets used in the super.

so yes you can change the plugs easier in the ati, but you dont have to change the oil in the vortech.

so which ever one you get you will be happy with. they both push intercooled air into your engine.

they just look different.

Vortech has a air to water AFTERCOOLER and has a pump, radiator and tank to always circulate cooled liquid to the aftercooler, so the iat's will never go up , especially in traffic. 90 degree iat temps were datalogged on my car beating on it for an hour straight. You can put ice in the tank to get an even colder intake temp, this is useful when drag racing.

intercoolers depend on ambient temp and have to have air pushing thru them to be cooling properly.

It takes 10 min to remove the ductwork , if you know how to hold a screwdriver and undo some clamps the piping is easily removed to get at the spark plugs..

The reason ATI is more popular is because of price. Both systems work. The ATI guys usually have to upgrade their systems with a belt slip fix from SDCE.

Whichever way you go forced induction will yield you the most bang for the buck.

I had a procharger i must say their quality blows, have fun belt alignment and ls1 kit with that plastic intake hat design is redecelous. Twin Ics lol are good for nothing but some 600rwhp give or take.
Been there done that if i buy a blower its doing to be a Vortech.

ATI's number seem to be higher off the bat with the closer to base kits, or so i thought, i think i generally see a P1SC doing ~450 and the Vortech doing ~420? i could be wrong...

no one wants to spend the money on vortech because intercooler is optional.
