Default ms3 vs. t-rex

hey guys, i need some info, right now im running the ms3 cam in my 00 z28,stock heads, m6 4.33 gear with 9 inch rear, and i have 150 shot nx, i do not daily drive this car, it sees maybe 1,000 miles year, and the track 5-7 times, do you think that the t-rex cam will make more power than my ms 3 cam is? and is it worth the trouble to change? 390hp/370tq through et streets na, 548hp/650tq nx, same tires
thanks,
paul

it will make more power, but it depends on what you consider "worth the trouble"

the t-rex should get you there, a buddy of mine switched his 235/240 for a t-rex and got something like 20 or 25rwhp out of it. Plus it sounds wicked! I think its a good cam to go with in your situation.

yea, thinkin about it pretty hard, but i have nothing bad to say about the ms3 cam, it sounds wicked and loves the juice, hoping the t-rex will like it as much!

yes, 150 nx single nozzle, 60/40mix 93 &110, 29* timing, afr was 11.4 across the board, it made 600+ lb ft from the hit all the way to 6000rpm

you might even want to just leave the MS3 in if you're running N20. The MS3 is supposed to be one of, if not the best "nitrous" cams out there. The t-rex likes N20 as well, but I don't think as much as the MS3.

The power difference probably isn't worth the money/effort. I think you'd be better off leaving the MS3 in and using the time/money for another upgrade.
