IAT senor DTC code, immediately after free ram air mod?

Default ?IAT senor DTC code, immediately after free ram air mod?

i did the free ram air mod, and an hour after driving, the check engine light came on, did computer diagnostics...DTC code P0113 IAT sensor high circuit input, what the f#%*? anyone?

Although I havnt seen it set a DTC before, the heat from the hot radiator may be rising up through the FRA. What IAT temps are you reading? Ive seen them hit 160+ in the summer, but it never set a code for me. If it shoudl IATs of something rediculous like 400 degrees, then you probably have a short.

I'm thinking more like, an unplugged connector.

the check engine light came on hours after driving, and i checked all connections and the harness and sensor were plugged in tight....then i did a comp diagnostic and pulled up the DTC code and the same pending code, and erased them, and again hours later the light came back on...pulled up the same DTC code and pending code...erased....hours of driving later came on...over and over lol...erasing....it juss keeps coming back....i think its the sensor itself, or maybe juss the cold weather causing a high input reading....maybe? lol

Dosnt an unplugged sensor make it read like -44* F or something like that? Wouldnt that be a low signal error then?

thanks....yea theyre only 16 bucks and sum change, ill just replace it when i get an aftermarket intake lid oh well lol

You might check the harness side of the connector
and make sure one of the pins didn't push back, or
something.

IAT low side is reference ground, high side is a resistor
pullup to 5V. So an open sender will read stuck-high.
You could trace it out with a voltmeter if you wanted
and see where (across various connections) same-wire
voltages disagree.

i hooked up my multimeter to the harness and one input read 5v the other didnt read anything...is that what is supposed to happen?, now on my computer diagnostic scanner the live data read that the IAT temp. was -38degrees(f)...from the engine off all the way to engine running at normal opperating temp (210) still the IAT temp didnt change, it remained -38degrees(f).....i bought a new IAT sensor from GM and connected it to the harness and turned the engine on, on the scanner the live data still read -38degrees(f). i dont kno if its a bad circuit, a fuse, or whatever....still confused
