ls1's top speed

ls1's top speed I got a 98 trans am a4 and i had it up to 152 at the top of the third gear my buddys 01 ws6 six speed will bury the speed odmoter real fast like 160 +. I was wondering do any ls1 have any top speed limiters on them and if they do does anyone know what it is ir will they go till they run out of power

It is whatever the pcm is set at. to a max of 255 mph. I don't even recall what mine was stock. Probably 155.

Now the real question is how fast will it go. And I don't know. But than again I only have 485 rwhp. So probably not much over 180.

Yea same. I have the 3.23's in my A4. So your thinking i will run out of gear at 162 ish or will i be governed at 162 ish?

my friend has a z with 2.73 and at 155 his tach is almost at redline
so with a 3.23 i cant see how its possible to go 155 with the rev limiter.
