Default PCV part number

I tried looking for the thread with the part number I read a couple months ago. It was about using the truck PCV which has a small hole in the end and no valve at all in it and supposed to cut down/cure oil consumption. I need the part number of the year it is used on so I can go grab one from the parts store.
thanks

I was just reading that thread myself.

Too bad I'm still confused.

While it has worked for some people, I was still pulling oil into my catch can, and it makes an annoying whistle sound since it is a fixed orifice. This is with my LS6 valley cover.

I went back to the stock-style PCV valve, and I'm now experimenting with mounting it more vertically.

I put that one in about 2 days ago. Haven't checked to see if it helped with the consumption problem yet. I emptied my 'home depot' catch can at the same time, so hopefully it'll still be empty when I get around to checking.

I was pretty disappointed to still see **** in my catch can after spending all Thanksgiving day putting my LS6 Valley Cover and that PCV Valve in...it certainly wasn't the answer I was looking for.

I tried this pcv and got just as much oil in the catch can that I did with a stock pcv. Also mine was making a loud whistle sound like a vacuum leak. I put the stock pcv back on. I have tried so mant things to stop all oil from getting into intake. I have a AWM catch can and have tried using a inline fuel filter after the can, vertical pcv, longer hoses to and from the catch can any nothing has worked 100%. I'm next going to install a foam filter inside the can with a screen to hopefully stop the oil from creeping up the can. I wish something would work.
