There this new kit that was introduced at SEMA this year that is pretty cool. I believe it's called magic touch, however it does not involve nearly as much work as real shaved door handles. I think you just apply over your existing door handles. It look pretty good.

Magic Touch kit....I will be going with it, it's pricy!!! Looks clean though, they do not have a direct bolt on kit for the Fbody right now. However you can go 3 different routes, have a window sensor installed to operate the handle, get the 4"x6" blank and have it worked into the door (which I will be doing since I am repainting the body, because you will need the cut a place for the blank...), or to pay alot of $$$ to have the product made for the car I forget the amouth they told me, but your best bet would be to get a group of guys and go in on it....Basically if you think it is expensive take ur ride to a autobody shop that does mod work, and ask them how much to have shaved door handles put on using a popper, etc... traditional setup, and compare it to thise new setup....

That looks cool but I don't like the price... Thats per door too. I would want the door skin smooth too so I don't know if that kit would be for me unless I get the window sensor but I would want to see how it looked 1st

My buddy was quoted $1000 from start to finish on his Silverado.
Me personally, I'd rather pay a bit more and have it look clean and finished vs this setup. Not to say its bad, but for the money I'd find a better use.

I've installed a few kits on some trucks, so i have a few hints and tips
definitely get the higher end shavedoor kits, like Autoloc
If you buy the cheap kits out there (the ones that are around $100), you WILL regret it later, trust me. And instead of using the wires to connect the solenoid to the latch, use a piece of metal coathanger. The wires come loose over time.
Dont ever crimp the wires together, solder em.
Make sure you get rubber boots for the solenoids.
And last, dont pay a body shop tons of money to shave the handles off your Fbody. These cars are the easiest to shave, since all you have to do is glass em. Might take longer than welding would, but anyone can do it. There's a million fiberglass how-to's out there, on sites like s10forum.com, etc
