I don't know nearly as much about LT1's but that's the highest I've seen for 355. I'm not sayhing i's BS though. I do know LT1's sound so though.

Seems like a very well built motor, I wouldn't doubt it. LT1's can be badass when they're nicely done.

very possible...we have done a few 355's in auto's and seen 390-400 rwhp. This was with 12 bolts , full exhaust and mild street/strip setups.

Man you guys are pretty hard on LT1's???? My 355 that I had two years ago did 422 RWHP, and 407 RWTQ naturally aspirated and my heads didn't flow nearly what that guys heads did. In fact my heads flowed 258 cfm on the intake at .600 and 203 cfm exhaust at .600. I had eagle 6" h-beam rods, SRP pistons with 11.75:1 compression, and a stock crank with 2 bolt mains... Cam was an extreme energy 236/242 .556/.576 cam with a 112lsa... With that and a ported manifold and a 58mm throttle body....

I had a Gen VI piggyback DFI system and with the timing turned up and 104 octane race gas it got as high as 437 RWHP. Torque stayed the same.... It ran a best of 11.72@119 on motor with a T56...

Don't sell LT1's short. 355's can be built mean as hell.... and with very basic mods can easily surpass 400RWHP...

Comp XFI lobes are stout. Much stouter than than the XE-R's that we run. There currently the harshest hydro lobe that I have ever seen.

Hell, I'm hard on them and I'v had a stroker in mine sense 97....

It could also be those are STD corrected numbers. They are most likely locked numbers. A "locked" auto does not lose to much compared to a manual car...Now a 12 bolt that's a different story....

I'm not being hard on the LT1. It's a very potent engine when setup properly. I just didn't expect an auto with a 3500 stall and 12-bolt to make that much power. It must be a nasty h/c combo. I should learn more about LT1's.

www.eportworks.com and go to his "products" page. That LE2 package is kick *** price/performance. Hell, the LE1 package is only $800. Hard for me to decide whether to get my LT1 heads ported for $800-1100 or go buy a set of ported LS1 heads for my LS1 for $800-1100.

AHHHHH....STOP THE INSANITY......damn it's true

Actually, I'v been lucky in the leak department.....OPTI....now that's another story.....

Well, I am shooting for 470 with some air intake modifing (before t-body), So they can make a little hp... I will admit though, if mine was a LS1 Stroker with great heads, I know I could get my numbers over 500 right now...
