Plug wires
I am installing headers and true duals on my 98 T/A next month and i figure while im in there i might as well throw in some new TR-55's and I was thining about either Taylor or MSD 8.5MM wires to go along with that. My question was which brand to go with, and also, do i really need to get wires? What amout of resistance through the stockers is too much? I figured that it is part of a tune up though, and they are only about $60 and the car is 8 years old now.......... so what the hell i might as well just change them. what do you guys think?

How many miles on the car? Unless the miles are pretty high (say 80-100K or more) or the wires look worn (cracking, etc.) I'd just leave 'em.

On my big engine, there is absolutely, 100%, no difference at all between stock wires and Taylor 10.4mm wires. Plus, 6 of the 8 friggin Taylors broke when I took them off to change my plugs last month. I pulled them off with dikes at the boot and they friggin broke anyway
IMO, Wires are like oil, brake pads and air filters, regular factory type is best. Everything can't be improved.

yeah i bought the MSD's......there was a 10% of at Thunder Racing for orders over 200 and adding those to my bill took it to 201. and change so i figured why not......FWIW i bet stock plugs are just as much as MSDs if your thinking about going that route. The small LSx style plugs were always hard to come by when i worked as a mechanic
