Default 2 small gates vs. 1 big gate

currently have an innovative pro gate (42mm) (10# spring) & PTE-88

with the gate direct to the turbo i get 13psi immediately and creep to 19psi

with the muffler off it goes as high as 24psi.

should i redo everything and plumb in a second pro gate?

should i keep the current mounting position and up to a 50-60mm single gate?

should i sell the pro gate and get like two 38mm tials or turbosmarts etc.

motor is 6.0L and i would like to control the boost down to 10psi flat across to 6800rpm.

thanks.

I am going to be using two 48mm Turbo Smart gates on my setup. Jose assures me that I will be able to control low boost very well.

i was just talking to george at turbotech and he is favoring a single new gen w/g to try. that one is somewhere int he neighborhood of a 50mm valve i believe but the valve gets out of the way of the air.. which is pretty significant for flow.

David,
I'd think any of the options you listed would get you were you want to be. I like the dual WG idea myself... but you might want to go with a large single since it would be the easiest route.

Yes we have one on a LS1. Works good, but no better then what we are seeing with cheaper gates like the pro gate and new bigger power gate.

I have no problem with twin 44s but then again my turbo setup is quite a bit different.

On Purevils car we run 1 TIAL 44mm with the T88 and when boost even set at 8lbs it will hold it the entire rpm range.Of course it is vented directly to the ground.
