Default Secondary AIR injection malfuction

I got a "Secondary AIR injection malfuction" code in my car. I thought that I had my AIR codes deleted via LS1Edit, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I pulled the fuse on the AIR pump, but never removed it...could that be why I'm getting the code or as I said, was it simply not deleted when I had my car in for LS1Editing?

I'm going to try and just pop the fuse back in and PRAY that takes care of the code issue there. Still working on the misfire on #7, going to switch coilpacks for that.

I heard you dropped quite a bit of coin with those jackasses over @ Xtreme as well man. Sorry to hear, seems to be the norm for them.

I had that code come on this weekend when I was driving, I also had the AIR pump deleted threw LS1 edit, I cleared the code with are scanner at work and so far it hasn't come back on. What would cause this to come on?

Haha, not laughing at you Larry but some other place.

If it set once, it will set again, just give it time. They obviously missed the code.

The only problem with the GM instructions is that they are geared towards a service department that has Tech2 scanners readily available so a Technician can easily grab one and use it. A Tech2 can command things on/off, on at 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% etc in order to aid in diagnosing. An EGR system is a perfect example of this. You can command it on in those percentages which will show up as "Desired EGR pintle position" and then compare to what the EGR pintle position is actually doing in order to determine what is failing in the system. That's just one example.

Don't feel soo bad, my 96 Monte Carlo throws a P0410 Secondary AIR code once a week and that one is a 40+ step process. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I just have not got around to messing with it. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, I don't have a tech2 so I'll have to just live w/the light until I get my own LS1Edit copy and just delete it like it should've been in the first place. Thanks for info though!
