H&C is on my floor. Its great. Only thing I've found that'll jack with it is brake cleaner. So I would bet any relatively strong acid or base will too.

I used the Rustoleum kit from Lowes. It was really easy to do and the only problem I've had is that it's peeling where my tires park.

You put it on thick enough or just use one coat? Did you read the fine print that says it may need touching up once a year? Did you prep the floor with acid etching or did you just wash it like they said to?

I only did one coat. When it gets bad enough (or when we decide to move out), I'll either put down another coat or touch it up. In the meantime, it doesn't bother me too much. So far, I've spilled motor oil, coolant, brake fluid, sesame oil, blood (my own) and gasoline on the floor and it has ALL wiped up with a shop towel. For about $120 after tax (I bought two kits because I let the first one harden before I finished the whole garage), it has been an excellent investment.

The kit I bought came with some citric acid/soap powder that I mixed and used to wash the floor. I followed the instructions to the letter and got very good results.

I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.

I used some muratic acid to clean the floor and used epoxy paint. The same stuff used to paint stripes in the parking lots. I added some sand to the paint as to give better wet traction, even with a petroleum based spill. Its just a tad rough on the skin, like when kneeling to run the lugs in with the impact. Just my .02
