Default Threw a Code (P0757 Shift Solenoid "B" Stuck On )

i clear the code today and the car has been running fine. When the code was thrown it was stalling like it was a 4400 stall to get it going. I shut the car off and it was fine. The was not even getting on it hard at all. What would cause this to happen. Th trans temp was a little under 180 so i do not think that was the problem. The only magor thing that i have done to it lately was driving home for 4 hrs on the interstate. Anyone know what cause the solenoid to stick open.

thanks

did you just put a converter in.. if so you just need to get the p0757 code shut off. What happens is the computer thinks the converter is slipping too much(still thinks the stock one is in there) so when that happens it sets the code and locks you out of certain gears. When mine threw the code after my fuddle 3,800 stall i thought i toasted the trans, i had it around 4k before the car started moving. This was due to the computer locking me out off all gears but 3rd.... Do a search under my screen name and you will see the problems i had and what i thought happed to the trans.. If you didnt just put in a converter the solenoid is probably bad and just needs to be changed(25 dollar item, easy to do)... But i will bet you just put your yank in, so tune out the code.. Also a note, when you turn the car off, then back on its fine is an indicator that you just put in a converter. If you really want to see that its the converter just go out in your car, start it and put it in drive. Brake stall it past 3k rpm for a few seconds and see if the light goes on...

Buba is correct..... this code needs to be disabled in your PCM. I had the same problem after installing a TCI 3500. Also it did not act up until months down the road. Get the code deleted and you will be just fine. Traver

I'm hearing everybody say just delete this code and all is well. Well I tried that after I spent the money on efilive and things were not back to normal. I had just installed a fuddle 3400 t/c about 3000 miles earlier and now trans is shot.Any ideas.Car has 53000 fairly easy miles on it with at least 2 tranny fluid changs. Doesn't make sense to me
