I put a set of gears in my 01 trans am from a company called superior. I was told they where the company that made them for gm. It never made any noise, not on acceleration or cruise or slowing down. I compared the price to motive. They cost me 250.00, when motive was like 169.00 I broke them cause the rearend is the size of a peanut. Just my thoughts. good luck

I have installed 2 sets of Motive 4.1X gears.

1st set, Motive GM OEM, Made in USA, 41:10 teeth, 4.10 ratio, quiet and strong. Still running after about 40K!

2nd set, Motive Italian made, 37:9 teeth, 4.11 ratio, not so quiet or strong, broke teeth off after about 10K miles!

Just my personal observations.

I have the US motive 4.10s, 41:10 teeth. Also still running strong after almost 50K. Very little noise. When I break these (and i most likely will) I will gladly spring for another set. Theyve put up with just about everything I can throw at it while running a street tire.
