Default Does anyone make a 170 degree thermostat?

I'm looking for a 170-180 degree thermostat for my C5. Isn't the stock one like 194?

I think you can get a 160 or a 180. Why not just go with the 160?

The "160" Hypertech I have, has a natural pivot about
175F.

You probably would do better to just set the fans sane,
and leave the thermostat alone. If you are short on
real cooling capacity then upgrade fans and radiator.
The thermostat is not the reason you overheat, barring
failure of some sort. Thermostat temp sets the minimum
running coolant temp and that is all. Airflow, coolant
flow, waste heat produced and heat exchanger efficiency
set the upper end. If you have an upper end problem,
look to those. Starting with airflow (fans) as the one
that is both factory-stupid, and free (if you have the
tools).

My stock thermostat had 100* C imprinted on it, which would make for one hot engine. I went with a 180*, starts opeining at 180, completely open at 200*.
