Default Few questions concerning a vette, and need pics.

I just sold my Z28 and bought a 98 vette with 49K on the clock, and I want to put my NX kit in it. I found a throttle body plate that I'm going to use (would show you, but not a forum sponser and I think thats a no-no). I guess my questions is, does anyone have any pics of where thier noids are mounted in the vette? It's a wet kit, and I'd like to make it neat, and clean as possible. So, if anyone has any pics please post, and list where you bought it from.

Also, I'd like to mount (hide) the bottle sideways in the back in the middle storage compartment. Is this possible? I'm sure it will require a mounting bracket. Do anyone make a bracket for this? Does anyone have any pics? I have searched the forum but couldn't find much.
Thanks alot for the input.

Check my sig and go to the nitrous page. At the bottom you can see my old setup (single nozzle NX) and the where the solenoids are mounted. I had a piece of sheet metal bent with a double 90 (offset like a Z) and drilled the holes to line up with the solenoids. Looked cool and worked well. I used a plate behind the TB also and that worked well too. The plate I had actually took the nozzle in it, which you will see.
Best of luck!

Go to the NOS site and DL their LS1 plate instructions, shows you how to hide the noids under the fuel rails, and details the tools and torque values for a plate install. NOS is a sponsor here is a link to their page, just DL the instructions.

Spacing out the Power Steering Resevoir was the only major PIA I had trouble with, I can detail how to make it easier if ya like.

Hot Rod did and article on a C-5 install here is the link to the install, they did the bottle as you described.

Check my site. Click the nitrous link at the top. My bottle is oriented upward on the slant and has been turned for the bottle pickup since those photos...

Damn Mike S., that's a nice setup...

You guy's have very nice setups.

I'm still alittle confused with the bottle mounting and the pickup tube. Can I lay it sideways with alittle angle? Attached will be a bottle heater and NX opener.

I think I'm leaning towards mounting the noids under the valve covers. Is there a place I can buy the bracket for the niods? I have a shop that's going to do the install and I'd like to have all the pieces together before I drop the car off to him.

I've heard the Cartech is a good kit. I cheaped out and use a generic Hurst kit from Summit and bought the 'vette fittings and the tubes are custom bent. It was pretty simple. The switch was a rat shack toggle I put in the cigarette lighter spot. The setup works great. Doesn't jack with the ABS at all. The car is normal under daily driving.

Nice. If you have the info on the fittings, drop me a PM, I would be greatful. I have access to a tube bender and even the proper flare tool. Knowing that the Hurst unit "can" be used on our cars is cool. Also if you can tell me where in the system you connected the unit that would be helpful too. I am game for most projects (all work except tuning has been done by me) so this may be another I can tackle.
Thanks.

Yes just rotate about 45* so pickup will be correct on hard launch.

Those are the same guides I used. Just took the line I took off and took it down to NAPA and matched up the fittings. Don't remember the sizes.
