Have yet to see a race between an SRT10 viper and LS7 Vette.....anyone have a vid stashed they could post?

no but 5th gear had a test between a c6 (ls2) vs the Viper Srt10. Of course the viper won, but not by as much as you would think with two extra cylinders and 100hp/100tq advantage. The C6 Z06 (ls7) would pound the Viper into the ground.

I've seen a few SRT10 v.s. LS7 vids, and even vids where the Viper has atleast a catback and the ZO6 is bone stock, it still pulled the Viper without a problem.

I love both those cars, dont get me wrong. It seems like whenever there is a race, its against a horrible driver in the viper.

id say that z06 driver was a tard half the time. id be pissed if i tried to go that many times and the other driver didn't. also the viper got the hit bad on every run, but still nice to see the z06 come back and jump infront.

hmmmmm didnt seem that easy to me guys. at the same time i wanna see a hard top go against a hard top not a vert vs a hard top. anyway we all know the vette is way lighter and should be handing that viper its own ***. apparently the vette driver didnt seem to into it though but enough to win some of the races.

Yea srt10's aint got crap on a ls7.

Basically, any Viper I've raced turns out the same. The Viper has more low end torque and better traction....so from a dig or slow roll, the Viper usually pulls about a half a car ahead. Then it's a gradual game of catchup to the Viper, until about 80mph or so, and it's like the Viper falls off a cliff.........and the Z06 starts running away.

I really like the 1996 Viper GTS and would choose it over any corvette other than the c6 z06. However, I'm not a big fan of the new srt-10s.
