Default MTI G1 vs. X1

which of these 2 would be better for a DD auto? car will never see the track. i plan on going with 3200 stall and some 3.42 or 3.73..kinda leaning towards the 3.73.. i guess i want a nice all around performing setup without over caming my car..lol.. i want something that still has good tq down low and can pull from a roll...

yeah i hear that x1 sounds bad a$$ at idle.. do you think that 3200 stall will work good with it.. and is 3.42 better than the 3.73.. i talked to david at mti he said run that x1 with a 3200 since its a daily driver. i just wanted to get more input.. thanks guys..

funny i bought an X-1 and asked david at MTI the same question. It's fine for daily driving and 3200 stall will work just fine. and now i read you already talked to david so this is useless info

my budy jay and a few others told me to get the 3:42 since i have an auto if that helps

well when i MTI i had put a G-1, yank 3200, 3.73 & other bolt ons. i put down 360 hp & 363 trq. the car is a good dd, but with the 3.73's it wasted a little more gas. also there were times that you would turn it on and it would turn off cause of the idle. this was back last summer and i am thinking about going bigger.

I have the x1 and I love it. I like the power range of the cam and the sound.
Cameo (Z06 Butterfly) has the G1 in her Vette and her sounds pretty nasty as well.

Both cams are great. If you are a nitrous junky might want to lean towards the X-1,
the G-1 has killer mid range torque. both make same horse power up top. my 2 cents...

yeah man i know they should be close as far as hp. .i know the x1 will probably pull harder up top while the g1 has more torqe. i guess if i were to do a head and cam with either of these cams, which would be better for a street car and pull on pullied cobras!!
