Does anyone know how fast a 2003 Gsx-r 600 would be in the quarter that is sprocketd and has exhaust?

If I had to guess, maybe low 11s or even high 10s with a real good rider and strapped. I've seen late 90s running as slow as mid to 12s and a local guy has a new GSXR 1000 with nitrous jetted for like 10hp per cylinder and the bike runs low 10s @145 not strapped.

A GSXR600 should be low 12s high 11s. Since the 750 is low 11s high 10s, then the 1000 low 10s high 9s and the busa mid 9s. Correct me if I'm wrong though but that's what I've seen at the track.

how either of you guys raced one from a 45mph role? If so, what happened?

I may be mistaken but my buddy ran 10.3@133mph I think on his GSXR 750.

I raced a different bike (honda). I posted that in the kills section. I've never raced against a gsxr though and not planning to anytime soon ;)

Was it stock? That's a very fast time for a 750 :eek2:

....around all new 600's that are FI are running low low 11's and some high 10s, most 1000 are around low 10's and busa's are low low 10's high 9's (mid 9's with alot of work), and there is a new kawasaki 1400 out there 2006 that had a pipe, ignition, and strapped with a pro rider that ran 9.36 :eek2: :eek2: , basically stock...that bitch is haulin, shit my shitty 95 zx6r ran a 11.3-4's...haha

A 2003 GSX-R600 is a low 11 second bike in the right hands. With a professional rider the bike would see 10.7x's.

So are all the new R600's FI? If so, then how would they compare against the GSX-R750?

He had a muffler but that is it.

He is an excellent rider (qualified to race professionally)

He made the entire pass with the front wheel about 4-6 inches off the ground.

A buddy of mine had a 97 or 98 GSXr600 and ran a 10.8x at the track. He was only 17 at the time so I wouldn't really say he was the BEST rider, but he kept the wheels on the ground and had good traction.

Did I mention bikes make me sick?

if you were going to go with a 600 i would have gotten the Kawasaki 636...make sure you dont do anything stupid when you get it either thinking you are a badass, i just had a good friend hit a deer at 100 while he was racing someone...the deer got cut right in half...he broke a bunch of bones including his collar, the helmet had 5 major gashes on it and a couple wore all the way through too the padding inside...he is still pretty messed up but recovering...it kinda makes me wanna sell my bike and just get a drag bike for the track

whats strapped?

it's when you "strap" the suspension to limit it's travel and keep the nose down.

and that bike "could" go 10's all day with a good rider....

Average "normal" rider? Mid 11's or so @ 125ish... It really depends A LOT on the rider's skills and weight...
