Header leak
When we first installed my headers we used the paper gaskets that pacesetter gives you. Well I decided to go ahead and swap them out with some OEM gaskets. After I installed the new OEM gasket I have a bad leak because the gasket won't seal completely....I believe this is due to the flange being slightly warped and yes all the bolts are torqued down right. It sealed fine with the paper gaskets though, so should I just put another paper gasket in or is there something else I could do? Thanks ahead for the help

what about some of the gaskets from autozone or similar stores...at least for a temporary fix until I can get some good gaskets...because this leak drives me crazy when I'm driving

Might try new stock metal gaskets, the old ones might be too compressed (due to the age) that they don't seal, they're only about $20 so it's not too bad to give it a shot, you can get them from the dealer, or from SDPC.
Or you could just get another set of paper gaskets to hold you over until the percys are available

Yes, you should be able to get Percy's gaskets at any local part stores- at least Autozone for sure and they probably have the LS1 set in stock. They are a little pricey, about $35, but it will be the last ones you ever have to buy.

Has anyone on here used Percy's carbon header gaskets?
