Actually there is a weight difference. About the weight of the motor. The regulators are pretty much the same except the one does not have the motor. If you take out the wiring that adds up to. I did this over the winter. So whatever a motor weighs is about what you will lose.

I bought my windows from a guy of this site. He was parting out a V6 camaro. That is where you will find most of them. They also came in 1LE cars and you will find a few people that put electric windows in them. I bought both regulators, all associated hardware, and even the window tracks, all for $65

yeah you also got the mech for the window crank, handle etc i think it pretty much washes each other out once you swap to the man window ...i personally am not gonna do it to much work for just a few pounds 2-3 aint worth it imo

If you had a race car I would do it just to be able to do aluminum door panels and not have to worry about the wiring switches. But I will admit when you beat a car with lexan non-rolldown windows and you roll the power windows down to give him a wave its pretty cool

Thats is basically what I did. My motors were going out and I wanted manual windows. So I took out all the door wiring and converted to manual regualtors. They are quit a bit lighter. I wish I would have weighed them, but I know they are lighter. The doors are very light without the wiring, motors, and door panels. Havn't had a chance to finish the aluminum door panels yet.
