I am not sure if there is any differance between super and turbo when it comes to the amount of boost you can load into the top of a stock ls1. But if it helps i am running a procharged 8 psi of boost in my 04 gto and the key to going up to 8 as opposed to 6 or 7 psi was the exhaust. procharger doesnt recomend going that high unless you have headers and an exhaust the pressure has to go somewhere after combustion is achieved. As far as power is concerned I was dynojet tuned at 497hp at the rear. Boost is the way to go bro

11 was the lowest mine went, i was often at 15 psi and sometimes 16 psi. Finally lost the motor due to rod bolt stretch after 15k miles and a 6700 rpm limiter on a 2000 shortblock. Not a bad failure, just started ticking from rod knock.

Longevity of the motor is based on the tune and knowledge of the end user. Stock parts are plenty strong.

A buddy of mine's car (Red91Z) made 518rwhp on 10psi with 100% stock longblock. Car was in Chevy High for a couple of months for an STS turbo install...

10psi here. I only run 10degrees of timing above 6K rpm for safety. If I had the stones, my numbers could be higher.

What's it feel like when hits 6K? Just quits pulling (comparatively speaking)?
